The second round of the 2026 Sony Open in Hawaii begins Friday afternoon at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament on Friday, including full Sony Open TV coverage, streaming details and Round 2 tee times.
We’re through one round at the Sony Open, and there’s a familiar face atop the leaderboard. Defending champion Nick Taylor fired a bogey-free 62 on Thursday in Hawaii to reach eight under. That puts him in a tie for the lead with Kevin Roy. Taylor already has five PGA Tour wins in his career.
But Taylor and Roy have some notable company near the top of the leaderboard. Ben Griffin, who made the U.S. Ryder Cup team and was a finalist for Player of the Year in 2025, is one shot back at seven under. He’s tied with rising star Chris Gotterup.
Betting favorite Russell Henley will start the second round three shots back at five under, while J.J. Spaun heads into Round 2 at four under.
You can watch the second round of the Sony Open on TV via Golf Channel, which will air coverage starting Friday night at 7 p.m. ET. PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ will provide featured group streaming coverage beginning at 12 p.m. ET on Friday.
