AFC Championship Game inactives: Patriots get offensive boost

DENVER — Patriots wide receiver Mack Hollins is officially active for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Broncos.

Hollins was activated off injured reserve Saturday. He makes his return to the gamefield after missing four games with an abdominal injury.

With Hollins active, rookie wide receiver Efton Chism is back on the inactive list.

Here’s the full list of Patriots inactives:

QB Tommy DeVito (emergency third QB)
WR Efton Chism
TE CJ Dippre
OL Caedan Wallace
OT Marcus Bryant
OLB Harold Landry
CB Kobee Minor

Here are the Broncos’ inactives:

WR Troy Franklin
S JL Skinner
LB Karene Reid
C Alex Forsyth
WR Michael Bandy
DL Jordan Jackson
DE Sai’vion Jones

Some notes:

• An emergency third QB can only enter a game if both active quarterbacks suffer injuries. He would need to leave the game if either active QB is cleared.

• Hollins, Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas and rookie Kyle Williams are active at wide receiver.

• Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper and fullback Jack Westover are available at tight end with Dippre as a healthy scratch.

• Wallace and Bryant continue to be healthy scratches. The Patriots will have left tackle Will Campbell, left guard Jared Wilson, center Garrett Bradbury, right guard Mike Onwenu, right tackle Morgan Moses, tackles Thayer Munford Jr. and Vederian Lowe and guard/center Ben Brown are available on the offensive line.

• Landry is out with a lingering knee injury. K’Lavon Chaisson, Anfernee Jennings and rookies Elijah Ponder and Bradyn Swinson are active at outside linebacker. Linebacker Jahlani Tavai and defensive tackle Milton Williams also have the ability to play on the edge.

• The Patriots are dressing cornerback Alex Austin over Minor, a rookie. Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis III and Marcus Jones are set to start. Charles Woods is the top backup. Davis cleared concussion protocol this week.
