Featured tee time for Round 2

Pros took Tiger Woods’ El Cardonal design by storm on Thursday, going low to fill the leaderboard with red numbers.

But no one went lower than Nick Dunlap. The two-time PGA Tour winner fired an opening-round 11-under 61 on Thursday to take the early lead.

Ben Griffin, the U.S. Ryder Cup team member and betting favorite this week, shot a 65 to get within four shots of Dunlap’s lead.

Griffin’s Ryder Cup teammate, 2025 U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun, shot a 67 and will start the second round well behind Dunlap.
