Things got a bit more interesting at the Emerald Isle’s premier championship when fan favorite Rory McIlroy charged back into contention following a second-round 66.
McIlroy is now seven under overall, five shots behind leader Joakim Lagergren at the tournament’s halfway point, and is pursuing the second Irish Open of his career, nine years after winning his first at this very venue.
