Severed in the Southwest 2024
The desert heat may cool off by December, but Severed in the Southwest 2024 is keeping the custom scene blazing hot. Rolling into Avondale, Arizona, on December 7th, this one-day event brings together slammed trucks, wild rides, and the laid-back vibes that only the Southwest can deliver.
Hosted by Severed Ties Arizona, this show has built a solid rep over the years as one of the best places to close out the season. If you’re into clean builds, low stances, killer paint, and good people—this was the spot to be.
From the moment you pulled into the Avondale showgrounds, it was obvious—this wasn’t your average meet-up. Rows of custom rides stretched across the pavement, each one repping a unique style. Mini trucks, full-size builds, classic rides, and even a few imports rolled deep to show off what they’ve been working on all year.
Whether it was bagged Chevys laying frame, S10s with custom beds, or classic C10s rockin’ fresh paint, the level of craftsmanship was undeniable. And the best part? Everyone was chill, swapping stories, snapping pics, and showing love for each other’s rides.
Severed in the Southwest is more than a car show—it’s a full-on vibe. You could feel the passion in every detail, from the shaved door handles to the wild custom interiors. This wasn’t just about showing off—it was about representing the lifestyle.
The Severed Ties crew kept things running smooth all day, making sure the show stayed organized while giving everyone a chance to shine. Awards were handed out in classic categories like Best Mini, Best Full Size, Best Paint, and of course, Best of Show. But honestly, everyone who rolled in with a build walked away with mad respect.
The vendor row was stacked with everything from custom apparel and pinstriping to performance parts and accessories. You could grab some new gear, talk shop with local builders, and even connect with clubs from across the region.
Club representation was strong—locals and out-of-towners alike came out in full force. Severed Ties, No Regrets, Forbidden Fantasy, Relaxed Atmosphere—you name it, they were there, showing support and flexing their rides.
And even though the show brought in serious builds, the atmosphere stayed super laid back. Just good people, good weather, and great cars under the Arizona sun.
There’s something special about a December show. It’s the last big event before the holidays and the perfect chance to kick back, show out, and reflect on the year in the scene. Severed in the Southwest 2024 nailed that feeling—an end-of-year celebration for the custom truck and car community.
Whether you came to compete, cruise, or just take it all in, one thing was clear: Arizona knows how to throw a damn good show. If you missed it this year, you better mark your calendar for 2025. This one’s a must-hit for anyone serious about the custom lifestyle.
