Jack Wilshere Set for New Role as Norwich First Team Coach

Arsenal’s Under-18 coach, Jack Wilshere, is set to depart the club to join the first team setup at Norwich City, according to TalkSport.

Wilshere is basically part of the furniture at the Emirates and he has spent the best part of his career with the club, breaking out as a youngster before the unfortunate injuries closed the curtain on what was meant to be a promising career.

After amassing 197 appearances in 12 seasons at Arsenal, Wilshere had two brief stints at West Ham and Bournemouth, before heading abroad to play for Ab in Denmark. Following his retirement from the beautiful game, Wilshere continued his love story with Arsenal and started getting his coaching badges, and almost came close to winning the 2023 FA Youth Cup, before suffering a crushing 5-1 defeat to West Ham Under-18s.

What does the future hold for Wilshere?

Since Wilsjeres’s venture into coaching, he has made a name for himself with the youth setup at Arsenal. He was considered as a forerunner for the manager job at Colorado Rapids a couple of seasons ago but that move failed to come into fruition. He also applied for the managerial position at Aberdeen and was hopeful to get the role as well.

Joining the ranks at Norwich City will give Wilshere more valuable experience as it will be a step up from his time with the youth ranks and this augurs well for his future.

Wilshere has served admirably at Arsenal and I’m sure he’s one more step away from what would be a dream managerial move in the not-so-distant future.
